The Importance of Participation

Education is a pretty broad concept that surpasses the four walls of a classroom. The core aim of education is to foster an all round development of a child.

And all round development essentially means intellectual, physical, moral, sensitively and social development. All round development can be achieved only through education. To fulfill these objectives, there is a prime need of striking a balance between syllabus, curriculum, books and also co-curricular activities and beyond that.

They actually complement the curricular activities and groom the students in the art of living and working together. They are the true and practical experience gained by students by their own learning.

A Chinese proverb very aptly states,
"Teach me, and I will forget. Show me and I might
remember. Involve me, and I will never forget."

May parents and students do not understand the importance of extra-curricular activities. To engage the students in participation in a classroom is an important method of teaching. It provides the students to apply their knowledge and to enhance public speaking skills, so it is absolutely important that each one of us think beyond the box and raise the bench mark each time.
